What this site is
Loomandl & Ing covers one subject exhaustively: rugs. Washable, outdoor, runners, wool and jute — sized by room and by traffic, with the pad, the placement rules and the cleaning truth for each fiber. There are 88 pages here and every one of them is about rugs.
That focus is deliberate. Most rug advice online sits inside general lifestyle sites as a one-off article, disconnected from anything else — so the moment you have a follow-up question, you are back on a search results page. Here, every page connects to the others along the four axes people actually think in: fiber, size, room and care.

We are not going to inflate that biography. There is no textile science degree behind this site, no interior design qualification, and no editorial board. Claiming any of those would be easy and it would be false, and a credential that can be checked and found not to exist is worse than no credential at all.
What we do not do — stated plainly
We do not run physical durability tests and we do not have a testing lab. When this site says a rug holds up in a high-traffic hallway, that comes from published construction specifications and from patterns across verified owner reports — not from anyone here walking on it for three months.
Plenty of competing rug roundups claim months of hands-on testing. Some of them are telling the truth. We are not in a position to make that claim, so we do not, and we compete instead on being right about the things that are checkable: fiber behavior, construction, sizing arithmetic, and what actually happens when you put the wrong rug in the wrong room. How this makes money
Affiliate commission, and nothing else. Loomandl & Ing is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We are not paid by any rug brand, we do not accept payment for placement, and no brand sees a page before it publishes.
A commission never decides which rug goes first. When the right answer for a reader is a rug we earn nothing on, it still goes first and we say so on the page. The full statement is in the affiliate disclosure.
We also do not publish prices we cannot verify. Where a live price is not available, the page reads "Check price on Amazon" rather than showing a number that might be months out of date. That is a deliberate choice and it costs us clicks.
How to reach us, including when we are wrong
If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and date the correction. That is not a formality — with this many pages of technical detail, some of it will be wrong, and the useful response is to correct it rather than to quietly edit it.
